For our clients and friends who live in San Diego, Alaska Airlines has been adding nonstop flights. They have added the following destinations for nonstop seasonal or regular service:

Cancun

Alaska Airlines is now offering nonstop flights between San Diego and Cancun four times a week. This seasonal service runs between November and April. In addition to its great beaches, and nightlife (both mainstream and LGBT+) Cancun is the gateway to both Chichen Itza and Tulum.

Cancun is also offering great hotel deals. For example depending on the dates, we are seeing 4-star all-inclusive resort accommodations from just $151 a night.

Fort Lauderdale

They have added nonstop service between San Diego and Fort Lauderdale 3 times a week. As of now, the service is year round. Not only is Fort Lauderdale a gay mecca both historically (“Where the Boys Are”) and with today’s Wilton Manors, it also offers good restaurants and shopping along its Las Olas Boulevard .

Fort Lauderdale hotel prices are quite reasonable right now. As an example, depending on the date, we are seeing a hotel room at a 4-star hotel from just $125 a night.

Missoula

Alaska Airlines plans to add nonstop flights between San Diego and Missoula Montana starting March 11th. While hardly a booming or ethnically diverse town, Missoula offers much for a city its size. It is great for outdoor enthusiasts as it offers trails, waterfalls and other natural beauty that you can explore hiking, fishing or biking. Surfers will enjoy “Brennan’s Wave” which is a manmade whitewater experience. Inside, Missoula’s Historical Museum and St. Francis Xavier Church are worth visiting. Missoula has a surprisingly vivid music scene and is progressive for Montana.
